Antwan 0 Posted November 14, 2018 At the present time I am a resident of nursing home due to having multiple sclerosis. I am a 46 year old man that has a dependent child that is in college. I am trying to find out if there is a way that I can keep my disability benefits to ensure that the college expenses of my dependent child are taken care of and the various expenses that I currently have. Devin Carroll 1 Posted November 18, 2018 Since this question was a little outside of my area, I reached out to John Ross, an Elder Law attorney and co-host of the Big Picture Retirement podcast. Here's what he said. "There may be ways but it will depend largely on what type of benefits you are receiving and what state you are currently located in.
