Ron Vance 0 Posted November 30, 2018 My wife has 29 credits is age 63-1/2, I am the same age but have all of my credits. We both are with governmental pensions under a county with the Retirement Act of 37. The question if what is the best strategy for taking social security as of now money is not an issue as are pensions are adequate. The concern on social security is if I wait until 70 we are concerned even though my health is good on waiting for her sake. I had less than 20 years of social security earnings. Devin Carroll 1 Posted November 30, 2018 Just so I'm clear...the county job that you held did not withhold SS taxes? Do you have an estimate of your benefit amount?
